On July 22nd, 2020, Ms. Natalie Chambers left her house at approximately 8am with her two daughters two-year old Elise and four-year old Izabel to a scheduled playdate. However, they never made it to their destination and family members contacted local authorities to try and locate them. This would be 13th, and 14th hot car death for 2020.
Police searched the route Ms. Chambers might have taken and the blue vehicle was found about an hour drive away parked close to a furniture store. Local authorities indicated that they were able to locate Ms. Chambers location by pinging her cellphone. Upon arrival, it was found that all three occupants were deceased. The preliminary cause of death for Ms. Chambers was likely an overdose of prescription drug due to her history of depression and substance abuse. Her two daughters were then locked in the vehicle as they both perished under 93 degrees F (33.8 degrees C) of heat that day for over a 24-hour period.
This tragedy could have ended in a very different way.
